Located in Northwest Pennsylvania, Meadville was settled in 1788, by David Mead and nine others in the rich farmlands of the French Creek Valley. Incorporated in 1823 as a borough and a City in 1866, it was designated the Crawford County seat in 1880. Today, Meadville is home to more than 13,000 full-time residents and centers on historic Diamond Park. This tour introduces you to the historic and modern sites of business, industry, education, the arts, recreation, service and tourism that tell of the city’s past achievements and its bright future.
